Salary: The expected pay rate for this position is $35.00 - $48.00 per hour. The actual pay rate offered may vary on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications and/or location.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Ramp Supervisor at AES plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient ground operations, with a specialized focus on supporting Boeing Dreamlifter Operations. Responsible for overseeing ramp activities, including coordinating aircraft movement, guiding ground support equipment (GSE) operations and overseeing loading and unloading processes. The Ramp Supervisor ensures operational excellence. Additionally, the Ramp Supervisor performs light mechanical and maintenance duties, conducting routine inspections, performing basic repairs and ensuring the proper functioning of essential equipment. By seamlessly integrating supervisory activities with hands-on maintenance responsibilities, the Ramp Supervisor maintains operational efficiency and adherence to safety standards in Boeing Dreamlifter Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure precise and efficient aircraft movement to and from gate positions, optimizing airport operations and maintaining punctual connections.
Coordinate the safe and efficient handling of cargo, meticulously adhering to operational standards and customer requirements and providing specialized handling as necessary to guarantee safe transport.
Demonstrate proficiency and safety in operating various ground support equipment, including tow tractors, loaders, baggage tugs, and cargo dollies to support seamless airport operations.
Vigilantly monitor the operational environment for safety hazards and compliance issues, continuously monitoring changes that may impact safety or efficiency and promptly communicating with leadership to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment.
Regularly review and ensure strict compliance with all updates to policies, including safety alerts, learning notices, procedural changes, regulatory standards and local regulatory guidance fostering a culture of adherence and accountability within the operational team.
In collaboration with the Station Manager, manage the integration of ad-hoc, one-off and emergency production cargo into the existing schedule. Ensure rapid response and precise execution to meet unexpected demands, maintaining the safety and efficiency of ongoing operations.
Collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to implement and refine best practices. Streamline operational processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure unwavering compliance with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carrier security requirements. Maintain the highest standards of adherence to safety and security protocols at all times to safeguard personnel and assets.
Perform minor maintenance tasks on ground support equipment, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance, to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime. Provide support for the coordination of special cargo handling, cargo build-up, and aircraft loading and unloading processes, with a particular emphasis on Boeing Dreamlifter Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma, or equivalent 3 -5 years related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
3+ years of experience in a Ramp Agent or a similar position
Ability to work in extreme conditions, including hot and cold weather, as well as confined spaces.
Minimum 1-2 years performing repair and maintenance on Mobile Heavy Equipment and related components, experience with diesel-powered vehicles preferred or equivalent educational experience.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Average to advanced computer skills necessary with an aptitude to acquire increased skills preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in awkward positions and tight areas).
Pull, push, and lift objects weighing up to 70 lbs.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Must possess the hand tools necessary to perform assigned tasks.
Must be able to read and speak the English language.
Ability to work both as a team and/or independently with great success.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license.
