Job Objective	Responsible for preparation of tasty, appealing, high quality foods for residents, employees and guests while maintaining high standards of quality and sanitary food preparation.
FTE	Full- Time
Job Standards	1. High school graduate or equivalent. 2. Ability to read, write and speak English and perform basic mathematics. 3. Three years cooking experience and completion of a two year program in food preparation from an approved technical school or five years cooking experience in a similar business. 4. Knowledge of institutional kitchen operations including food preparation methods, meat and vegetable cookery, timing, equipment operation, sanitation, safety, portion control, standardized recipes and proper food storage. 5. Ability to handle stressful situations using maturity and sound judgement. 6. Good personal hygiene and sanitary work habits. 7. Must be able to safely perform the essential job functions without harm to self or others, with or without reasonable accommodations. 8. Ability to deal respectfully and effectively with employees and customers.
