Located 30 miles north of downtown Dallas, Omni PGA Frisco Resort is the largest resort currently in development in the country. Opening spring 2023, the resort will feature 500 guest rooms and suites, 10 four-bedroom ranch houses, three pools, including an adults-only rooftop infinity pool, a destination spa, Lounge by Top Golf, and over 127,000-square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. An expansive retail and entertainment district will feature dining, shopping and an outdoor stage set to be activated for concerts and outdoor programming. The Resort will become a leading destination for golf providing an unparalleled experience for those who are advanced players, new to the game, and everything in between. The resort will offer 46 holes of golf designed by Beau Welling and Gil Hanse, including two 18-hole championship golf courses, a lighted 10-hole short course, and a lighted two-acre putting green.

Job Description

Omni PGA Frisco Resort is seeking a General Manager | Ryder Cup Grille & Club 1916 to join our team. Omni Frisco PGA Resort provides north Texas with 127,000 square feet of event space, 13 new food and beverage outlets, an extravagant spa and a full entertainment district. Featuring two championship 18-hole golf courses along with a third short course, we will provide incredible options for our guests and local community for dining, events, and entertainment.

Ryder Cup Grille & Club 1916 Member Lounge both feature all day dining, honest fare, and friendly service. It is the place for an "after round" dose of Texas charm and comfort.

The Restaurant Manager is to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures and lead a team of associates to provide memorable experiences to both guests and team members.

Responsibilities
    Responsible for assigned shift, assisting in overall management.
  • Complete environmental checklist for dining room.
  • Spot check liquor pars.
  • Order daily supplies.
  • Hold pre-meal meetings.
  • Follow up on established training steps.
  • Handle guest comments and complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Stay on the floor during peak hours.
  • Communicate with guests and receive feedback.
  • Observe, teach and elevate staff's service.
  • Monitor each guest experience.
  • Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.
  • Maintain condition of dining room.
  • Scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting both weekly and monthly.
  • Participate in interviewing new employees as needed.
  • Prepare maintenance request and follow-up.
  • Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste.
  • Check bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, and bottles totally empty daily.
  • Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
  • Must know emergency procedures and work to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
  • 4 years+ leadership experience in a Restaurant General Manager role is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a sports bar is required
  • Must have previous experience in a busy, fast paced working environment.
  • Must have the ability to manage deadlines and support a team.
  • Understanding of Food and Beverage financials including cost and par controls is required
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail as well as strong customer service skills.
  • Must have understanding of beer, wine, and cocktail beverage creation knowledge.
  • Must have unexpired Food Handlers and TABC - or obtain upon hire.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift.
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects of moderate weight without assistance.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors.
