Job Description

Shoes For Crews (SFC) is seeking an experienced Sr. Director, Brand Marketing to lead a pivotal role in shaping, elevating, and amplifying our brand. Reporting to the VP, Brand Strategy and Marketing, the candidate will be the brand, content, creative, and product marketing champion, guiding the SFC brand and sub-brands to deliver compelling, omni-channel campaigns. This role requires an experienced leader who can drive positive impact across a wide range of consumer and business segments, corporate and unit-level activations, and touchpoints while delivering intuitive and engaging brand and product experiences.

The Sr. Director, Brand Marketing will oversee the brand and product marketing planning process by leading ideation, development, execution, and measurement of 360 brand marketing campaigns driven by business goals, customer insights, and category needs, ensuring sales targets are met. This person is an exceptional strategic leader with a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams, and will proactively oversee creative, content, communications, and product marketing.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Work closely with the VP, Brand Strategy & Marketing to develop a comprehensive brand strategy for SFC, as well as with sub-brands and key product categories, that aligns with the business goals, enhances brand awareness, and increases market share.
  • Build, lead, and proactively manage a cohesive team of creative, content, and product marketing professionals, agency partners, and freelancers to elevate the SFC brand and drive brand awareness across key segments
  • Oversee all brand communication initiatives, including advertising campaigns, content creation, social media, traditional marketing, public relations, influencer, experiential, sampling, email, website branding, and retail / store branding
  • Oversee the brand application, adherence, and overall creative direction of the company and key business segments. Update and enforce brand guidelines and compliance to maintain brand consistency and integrity across all channels
  • Oversee content strategy and creation, including video, animation, photoshoots, long and short-form content (e.g., blogs, white papers, infographics, testimonials), headlines and ad copy, among others. Evaluate creative and content deliverables to ensure alignment with the marketing brief, brand, and business objectives
  • Develop and deliver marketing campaigns and new product launches to inspire breakthrough and impactful creative by channel to accomplish core objectives. Own and manage the campaign calendar, including key product launches, to drive progress toward key dates
  • Align with the Product Team to strategize, ideate, and launch marquee new products in multiple marketing channels, including events, paid media, social media, print, and email
  • Work with the DTC ecommerce team to strategize storytelling and marketing messages from halo to supporting stories
  • Support the B2B Sales and Marketing Teams as well as retail stores; interpret insights into successful?strategic messaging and creative that?delights customers and grows B2B accounts and engagement
  • Inspire your team to create distinctive designs?and experiences?that project SFC's competitive advantage and engage prospects, B2B customers, and consumers in new and unique ways. Oversee the team to deliver best-in-class?copy and design?for?customer and consumer experiences?for all of SFC's businesses
  • Present plans and updates to executives and key stakeholders. Communicate?efficiently and effectively with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and DTC ecommerce, among others
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; deliver quality work under tight deadlines?
  • Use?data gathered from key stakeholders, insights, and marketing analytics to impact design thinking and solutions
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • 10+ years experience in brand marketing and/or marketing. B2B and DTC experience a plus; must have experience with retail / CPG / manufacturing. Footwear experience highly desirable
  • Must be comfortable with building and leading teams. Minimum 10-years experience building, managing, and developing a high-performing marketing team comprised of internal staff as well as agency partners and freelancers
  • Strong experience building and growing a brand
  • Proven track record of creating brand-defining and business-driven work across various channels, including digital, print, packaging, mobile-first web, email, SMS, video, and photography
  • Proficient in developing unique value propositions (UVPs), positioning, and key messages for various segments and products
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to get the heart of why a creative idea is relevant; capable of articulating key messages in a clear and concise manner
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Must be comfortable presenting to executives, cross-functional team leads, and key stakeholders
  • Solid leadership skills. Drives toward goals while managing and motivating a team
  • Experience setting team priorities, solving problems, multi-tasking and working within a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Strategic mindset that is goal-oriented and resourceful
  • Flexible nature and thrives in a fast-paced environment?
  • Organizational acumen with the ability to quickly pivot and learn how to get things done on time and on budget

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or Management; MBA desired
  • 10+ years of experience in a related field and/or position
