Role Description

Join us at Form Energy, where we're pioneering energy storage solutions for a sustainable future. We're seeking a highly skilled Robotic Systems Engineer to be a key player in our new manufacturing team. This team is dedicated to developing and deploying cutting-edge equipment for the production of Form Energy's revolutionary energy storage solutions.

As a Robotic Systems Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, developing sustaining strategies for first of its kind equipment. Your role extends to working on automated equipment stations to define architecture, processes and best practices. This is a great opportunity to have a direct impact in a rapidly evolving technology and growing company!

This opportunity is based out of Form Energy's Weirton, WV facility. Relocation assistance is available.

What you'll do:
  • Improve performance of our robotic systems and automated equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Provide training and support to operators and maintenance personnel on the operation and maintenance of robotic equipment..

  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions to production.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for installing and commissioning of new systems, including involvement in design reviews and actively supporting FAT/SAT milestones.

  • Oversee and maintain pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic systems on production lines.

  • Provide hands-on support for high-volume manufacturing operations.

  • Optimize equipment settings for quality and throughput in collaboration with production teams.

  • Implement upgrades and modifications to enhance station performance and reliability

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.

  • Strong understanding of automation principles, industrial robotics, and motion control

  • Interest in equipment engineering within a production environment.

  • Working knowledge of other equipment elements, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and high-volume manufacturing

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.

  • Certification in Fanuc Robotics or equivalent a definite plus

  • Interdisciplinary Communication: Strong communication skills across various engineering and business functions.

  • A demonstrated track record of innovative problem solving
