ChristianaCare, the largest healthcare system in Delaware, is seeking an experienced HR professional for the position of HR Business Partner. In this role you'll act as a consultant and partner to leadership teams for assigned business units within the healthcare system. The HRBP will help drive the people strategy, culture, and work environment necessary to advance business objectives. This position is currently hybrid with 1-2 days/week time spent on location in the administrative offices located at Avenue North in Wilmington, DE (45 minutes south of Philadelphia).

Key Responsibilities:

Functions as a trusted advisor to clinical and operational leadership for people strategies. Builds collaborative relationships with assigned operational and clinical leaders.

Acts as primary point of contact for leadership providing HR consulting and solutions aligned to business and people strategies and goals. Understands key business objectives to support business leaders on effectively managing their business and talent.

Partners with leadership to execute HR related programs that enable a strong culture of collaboration, engagement, recognition, and excellence. Seeks expertise as needed from HR Centers of Excellence to accelerate advancement of business objectives.

Provides performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, and career development).

Supports and provides guidance for organizational design and development to improve organization capabilities and drive business objectives.

Analyzes human capital metrics and caregiver survey data to drive programs and policies that improve caregiver engagement, performance, recruitment and/or retention.

Stays abreast of best practices within Human Resources, evolving labor law, and client groups.

Position Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Human Resources or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, preferably in a large matrixed environment supporting decentralized clients.
  • Prior HR Business Partner or consulting experience.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
