Summary

  • We are seeking a Behavioral Health Compliance Program Manager to join our dynamic Behavioral Health Operations team. In this critical role, you will ensure that our Behavioral Health operations comply with all federal and state legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements. You will collaborate with billing, compliance, credentialing, government affairs, and legal to develop policies that drive Behavioral Health best practices.
  • The Program Manager will participate in designing a Behavioral Health compliance program that ensures adherence to industry standards. They will coordinate efforts across the MaineHealth system to improve local and regional compliance in Behavioral Health programming. As Behavioral Health continues to evolve and expand, their expertise will be instrumental in navigating the complex landscape of Behavioral Health compliance.
  • Ideal candidates will possess strong knowledge of federal and state Behavioral Health regulations and healthcare coding and billing practices, including the post-PHE landscape. Successful candidates must also be capable of tackling emerging regulatory issues and be eager to learn about areas with which they are less familiar.
  • **This is a FT hybrid position working both remote and onsite, with flexibility to meet programmatic and organizational needs.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education:
      • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Compliance, Legal Studies, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
      • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) credentials preferred.
    • Desired Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
      • Work requires a minimum of 3 years' experience within the healthcare industry.
      • You have experience coordinating efforts that include multiple stakeholders across various departments.
      • You desire to be an integral part of an innovative team that adapts easily to change.
      • You're organized and can manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
      • You demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
      • You're process-minded and look for opportunities to streamline workflows for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
      • You have strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to interact with leadership and key stakeholder groups.
      • You're stimulated by challenges and are ready to leverage your skills to make a difference.
      • You approach all tasks, whether small or large, with a sense of ownership.
      • You must demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Suite (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
