Job Summary

Under direct supervision, acquires skills and knowledge of professional concepts in research data analysis. Works on small projects or segments of projects with limited scope and complexity.

Department Description

The F.I. Proctor Foundation is committed to engaging in research activities and providing state-of-art patient care that address infectious and inflammatory disease. The Proctor Foundation currently has >10 active field trials funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The position will be based at UCSF's Mission Bay Campus in San Francisco. Office space will be provided, but a mix of on-site and remote work is welcome. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with at least one software language that can be used to implement computational models (R preferred).
  • Passionate about the clinical and public health impact of infectious disease modeling
  • Solid writing/communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfort with calculus, linear algebra, and basic probability
