JOB SUMMARY:

The CSR Quality Manager leads quality, compliance and education for UVMMC's CSR department. This role is the primary contact for CSR and high level disinfection process initiation, compliance adherence and tracking of quality and auditing activities. This role utilizes a strong background in Sterile Processing workflow to develop and maintain a quality assurance program. Working under the direction of the Director, Perioperative Services and in close collaboration with the Manager, Central Sterile Reprocessing, leaders of the surgical, procedural, ambulatory, and clinical areas. The CSR Quality Manager develops processes and contributes to education, in-servicing, competency validation and auditing as it pertains to regulatory requirements and policy and procedures at UVMMC perioperative, procedural, and ambulatory sites.

EDUCATION:

  • Required: Associates Degree (Business management or healthcare leadership preferred) required, Bachelor's degree preferred, required within 3 years of Hire

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Required: CertifiedRegistered Central Service Technician through HSPA or CBSPD

  • Required: Certified Endoscope Re-processor - through HSPA or CBSPD

EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: Minimum of seven (7) years Central Sterile Processing experience

  • Required: Minimum of one (1) year Certified endoscope reprocessing experience

  • Required Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience

  • Demonstrated experience in project management, performance improvement.
