The Institute for Collaborative Biotechnologies (ICB) has an open position for a Molecular Biology Junior Specialist in Professor Morse's research group. This position will enable research that requires skills and knowledge in molecular biology, biochemistry and genetics with a focus on protein cloning, expression, engineering, purification and characterization. The Junior Specialist will contribute specialized skills and knowledge toward the advancement of fundamental structure/function, biotechnology and medically related research, collaborating in research analysis directly with the Principal Investigator, Prof. Morse, and with other senior academic employees.
The Junior Specialist will design, lead, and instruct in protein cloning, expression, engineering, purification, and characterization, and will maintain and distribute stocks of DNAs and proteins. This position will also be responsible for lab management, supervising lab assistant(s), and participating in a range of scholarly work and publications.

Appointees must possess a baccalaureate degree at time of application.
Prior research experience in protein cloning, expression, engineering, purification, and characterization
