  • Full Time: 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p

A Brief Overview:
The Staff Nurse will deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. The Staff Nurse will collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

  • Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.

  • Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice.
  • Integrates evidence-based practice and research findings into nursing practice.

  • Enhances own professional growth and development.
  • Maintains a safe therapeutic working environment and recognizes need for action in emergency situations.
  • Documentation is thoroughly and timely completed
  • Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
  • Conducts thorough assessments of patients scheduled for surgical or invasive procedures to evaluate their physical and emotional readiness.
  • Reviews patient's medical histories, including pre-existing conditions, allergies, medications, and previous surgeries to identify potential complications and risks.
  • Provide patients and families with detailed information about the upcoming procedure, what to expect, preoperative instructions.
  • Work closely with MD offices, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.

What you will need:

  • Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
  • Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required
  • BSN strongly preferred
  • Certification: BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required
  • Experience: At least one year of experience as a Staff Nurse, previous Pre-Admission Testing experience preferred, Epic proficiency preferred
