We are looking to hire a Principal Applied Science Manager to come join the AI Platform team in Microsoft. You will be working along the best AI/ML engineering, science, and product talent in the industry and engaging with the largest, most complex customers and ISVs in the world.Managerial skills related to attracting and hiring talent, growing people in their roles and growing the team, and thinking strategically to guide the team's work are important aspects of this position. The mission of the AI Customer Experience Engineering (CxE) team within the AI Platform organization is to co-innovate, incubate, and improve our core AI platform from scenarios utilizing Azure AI Services like Azure OpenAI/GPT, and Azure ML. We do so by building and infusing AI technologies in real world solutions and extending the signals from real world patterns to building robust, scalable AI platform services and products. To achieve this, we are co-innovating AI and ML powered solutions (rich APIs, ML models and end to end services) with our strategic ISVs and Enterprise customers, leveraging many other Azure technologies, including Azure core services and Python/C# microservices. ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for an experienced team leader who can architect & design systems and solutions, stay abreast of rapidly evolving AI technologies, and utilize them in the systems being designed. Passion for solving customer problems in a collaborative manner, desire to work on leading-edge technologies. The role involves a fair amount of technical leadership and customer engagement in solving complex problems with the customer/partner. The ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated to drive the creation of great enterprise solutions and who can collaborate and partner with other product teams, data scientists and engineers, and deal with ambiguity and complexity. Knowledge transfer to partners and community may be required, as well as presenting to customers or at public events. Embody our Culture and Values
