Job Description

Otsuka is seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to join our Workday Team. As a Solution Architect, you will collaborate with Business Stakeholders (local, affiliates and global) and other IT Implementation/Project/Support teams from initial discovery through design and implementation of the Workday and other HCM solutions. You will also manage vendors and their resources performing projects and support for HCM applications. You will translate business and functional/technical requirements into a project/initiatives and architectural blueprint that achieves desired business objectives, including identifying solutions for product gaps. Solution Architect will also assist in crafting and presenting solutions to influence senior leaders and key decision makers. You'll be viewed as a trusted advisor and credible expert in HCM space who would drive solution advisory and solution delivery for our business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • In depth knowledge of Workday implementation methodology and Tenant Management
  • Identify business critical Workday new features released (R1 & R2 releases) and demo the same to the HRIS & Business teams.
  • Provide end to end solution and design details during Architect Sessions. Champion of KDDs (Key Design Decisions) to lead business to adopt the best practice solutions
  • Plan, lead, and facilitate architecture workshops for complex areas of the Workday HCM Module(s) such as business processes, organization structure, security, etc.
  • Articulate the impact of key project and configuration decisions
  • Configure the Workday HCM solution, demonstrate the configurations through the development of prototype systems, and assist the Testing Team in testing the solution
  • Accurately estimate effort and resources required to complete projects as related to areas of expertise
  • Provide input on project staffing based on requirements.
  • Mentor and guide more junior colleagues like testing teams for generating SIT(E2E) and UAT test scripts
  • Support the transition of the Project Implementation to Support Teams.
  • Work with Project Management teams and guide them to identify milestones and deliverables.
  • Support for RFP's, Statement of work and other contractual work with vendors
  • Support for additional modules and licensing conversations with Workday and other HCM product vendors

Skills & Requirements

  • 7+ Years of end-to-end Workday HCM implementation experience is required including Core HCM, Recruiting, Advance Compensation & Talent Management. Hands-on configuration experience is must have.
  • Experience with at least 4 functional areas within the Workday suite of applications (HCM, Basic and Advance Compensation, Recruiting, Absence, Talent, Benefits, Succession Planning, and Workforce Planning)
  • Candidate must have knowledge and experience about latest offerings from Workday (e.g. Workday Extend) and be able to apply those features/functionalities to company specific business processes
  • Candidate must have knowledge about artificial intelligence (AI) offerings from Workday and be able to apply those features/functionalities to company specific business processes
  • Skills and implementation experience to Workday Security is must have.
  • 5+ years of Global Implementation experience is must have.
  • Experience in leading and facilitating HCM solution discussions (solution advisory) with Business counterparts and presenting to Senior Executives
  • 5 + Years of experience in Integrations across the enterprise applications (Service Now, SAP, Beeline, Benefit vendors & ADP etc.)
  • Ability to work in diverse, fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to identify and analyze areas of risk and develop plans to mitigate
  • Skills and experience in supporting the business for data driven decision making by applying data analytics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, presenting to a room of senior stakeholders is second nature to you

Preferred Skills

* Workday Core HCM or Workday Core HR Pro certification.

Minimum $160,530.00 - Maximum $240,005.00, plus incentive opportunity: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting salary for candidates hired to perform the work. Other elements may be used to determine actual salary such as the candidate's job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in role.
