All levels of Blood Collection Technicians conduct donor eligibility during Medical Interviews, phlebotomy, as well as discontinuation of blood procedures while monitoring the donor's progress during the procedure according to collection guidelines.

Career Ladder Program: After 6-9 months of whole blood collection as a BCT-I, individuals meeting skill proficiency guidelines may advance to the next step by learning an automated collection platform for double red cells using an ALYX machine.
