Casual Worker - Shipping (seasonal summer 2024)

Penn United Technologies, Inc. is now accepting applications for seasonal summer help to work in the shipping department of our Carbide Division. We are looking for students who are currently enrolled in either high school or college and who can bring a positive attitude and great work ethic to these SEASONAL (summer) responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Duties may include shipping & receiving; filing/office work; parts cleaning or packaging; and other duties as assigned
• Report to work on-time with a positive attitude and ready to learn and accomplish tasks
• Able to maintain a focus toward your job responsibilities
• Perform well by meeting supervisor's expectations
• Ask relevant questions and ask for help with processes or tasks not understood
• Be open and honest in communications
• Follow all safety and quality plans in accordance with company programs and policies

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years old. If less than 18 yrs old, a work permit is required
• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a high school or college program
• Students must be in good academic standing at their school
• Must be able to be on time and arrive with a positive attitude and work ethic
• Some responsibilities may require finger dexterity, and/or ability to stand 8 hours/day, and lift 40 lbs
• Daylight shift 8:00am - 4:30pm
