To perform various plating processes to deposit metals on ceramic substrates. Must be able to read and follow written directions on routers and work instructions that are in place for each process. Must adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including requirements for keeping the area clean and organized. Required to utilize all appropriate safety equipment and to receive annual safety training.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate repetitive plating and wet process equipment to plate ceramic substrates and thick-film chip resistors.
  • Follow verbal and written Engineering and Quality Control instructions as contained in process procedures, blueprints, operating in a specified and quality manner
  • Manually performs or operates equipment requiring setups, constant monitoring and periodic adjustments in temperature and/or chemical levels.
  • Operate plating processes including most Electroless and electrodeposit plating.
  • Maintain attentiveness to process details and equipment. Timers, temperature controllers and indicators, rectifier amp and volt meters, and other associated equipment must be set-up and adhered to.
  • Complete processes of fixturing/racking, surface activation; the use of filters, pumps, and agitators/mixers.
  • Perform pre- and post- processing tasks including, but not limited to, degreasing, cleaning, scrubbing, visual and dimensional inspection, and baking.
  • Make up chemical solutions, condition plating tanks, strip racks and change filters
  • Use of inspection and lab equipment and methods including atomic absorption spectrophotometer, titration, XRF and microscopes.
  • Maintain all required logs, documents, and records as required by the certified operator program.
  • Move material within the cell.
  • Perform more than one operation at a time as directed by the supervisor.
  • Use of pumps, cranes and lifting carts to move chemicals during tank changes, makeup, and additions.
  • Must follow all safety standards as outlined by the certification trained on at all times. The health and safety regulations encompass the cleanliness of the area

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
