We are currently seeking a BSA/AML Currency Transaction Report/MIL Compliance Operations Manager to join our team. This position will be full time work from home in either the Salt Lake City, UT or Phoenix, AZ area.

  • Responsible to oversee and ensure the accuracy of documenting, tracking and reporting of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and Designation of Exempt Person (DOEP) to FinCEN.
  • Ensure CTR filings are completed accurately, timely, aggregated appropriately, and meet regulatory deadlines and expectations.
  • Ensure DOEP reviews are properly documented and maintained to meet regulatory requirements and expectations.
  • Provide Subpoena research as necessary while maintaining privacy.
  • Maintain current understanding of the regulatory environment including FinCEN and other regulatory agencies as involved with BSA/AML and any regulatory changes.
  • Ensure current processes reflect the regulatory expectations and implement changes needed when regulatory expectations change.
  • Work with the technology manager on any required technology changes for either improved efficiencies or due to regulatory changes.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, exams, and reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies, Accounting, Finance or related field and 2+ years of Bank Secrecy Act and/or AML compliance processes, procedures, and regulations or other directly related compliance experience. Financial crime investigation experience preferred. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Relevant Professional Certification; Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), Associate of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) or Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists (ACFCS) is a plus.
  • Management/Leadership experience required.
  • Requires a considerable working knowledge of BSA/AML Compliance as it applies to suspicious activity for money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud.
  • Understanding of complex financial transactions and business relationships.
  • Must have good problem resolution, analytical skills, customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, be organized, detail-oriented and complete responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to meet performance expectations including SLA's for errors and Quality Assurance score expectations.
  • Solid understanding of current money laundering red flags and industry trends relating to AML.
  • Ability to share that information with the team for investigation referrals.
  • Working knowledge of AML/BSA Regulatory compliance processes and procedures pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.
  • Solid understanding of bank operations as it relates to the flow of funds through financial institutions.
  • Understanding of complex business banking relationships, relationships between business entities, high risk business entities and inherently higher risk to the bank for high risk customers.
  • Understand the classifications of High-Risk Entities as defined by the bank, high risk transactions such as international wires or foreign clients or subsidiaries.
  • Strong understanding of Currency Transaction Reporting regulations.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including typing, Word, and Excel.
