• Accountable to assist the RN and surgeon in preparing for surgical procedures, assist in deliveries, and prepare for the next case.
• Handle the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
• Have an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon.
• Have the knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

• Current CST certification from NBSTSA
• CPR certified from the American Heart Association or the Red Cross
