What You'll do:

  • Support program managers and assigned personnel by reviewing all program deliverables (conference papers, journal articles, and other related documents) for quality assurance and mission readiness. Ensure all documentation clearly communicates complex and technical information more easily to a large Intelligence client

  • Develop, gather, and disseminate technical information among personnel

  • Support the Communications team as needed

  • As requested, create visualizations (i.e.: diagrams) to further illustrate how a technical paper or presentation is framed

  • Collaborates with the proposal and program team to prepare proposal format.

  • Supports the preparation and maturation of proposal content for reviews and production through style editing, proofreading, document preparation.

  • Assists with coordinating the proposal production process.

  • Checks quality and peer reviews documents to reduce errors.

  • Creates templates using the styles features to align to the RFP requirements.

  • Reviews, interprets, and questions RFP requirements.

  • Defines and generates visual style guides and templates for common proposal materials (e.g., volumes, resumes, past performance).

  • Designs, formats, and produces proposal materials.

  • Integrate images and text to create cohesive pages.

  • Maintains awareness of contents of repositories of previous proposal material (e.g., templates, exemplars) and supports the loading of new proposal material after submittal and award.

  • Provides guidance on outlines and compliance.

  • Assists with documenting, maintaining, and using internal proposal processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance - must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain any federal government security clearance.

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in a proposal production environment.

  • Expert mastery of English grammar, spelling, and syntax.

  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat Pro, and other PDF programs. Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator is preferred.

  • Experience creating visualizations (diagrams, etc.) using Visio or other tools

  • Skilled in formatting and positioning text and graphics to create visually appealing master copies, with knowledge of type styles, sizes, and layout patterns.

  • Demonstrated proactivity, attention to detail, working within deadlines, and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Provide three (3) writing samples. Samples should be at least 500 words.

  • Understanding of Government RFPs and the source selection process is required.

  • Flexibility to adapt to fast paced, changing requirements and dynamic schedules.

Preferred Skills:

  • A background and knowledge of DOD or Intelligence agencies process and procedures is preferred

  • Local to the DC Metro area and willing to work in the office 1-2 days a week.

  • Experience providing technical editing and desktop publishing services in the DoD and/or Federal sector.

  • Track record of success supporting highly technical and complex proposals.

  • Microsoft Office Specialist: Word Expert Certification.

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted forany applicable geographicdifferential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$61,899.00 - $116,757.00
