Toni Jennings Exceptional Education Institute:

Toni Jennings Exceptional Education Institute (TJEEI) is dedicated to preparing and retaining exceptional student education teachers and related professional educators who serve children and adults with special needs. In collaboration with Central Florida partners, TJEEI provides families of children with disabilities, UCF faculty and students, and educators access to current information, resources and opportunities. Through teaching and research clinics, UCF faculty and students associated with the institute offer services to students with disabilities and their families focused on assessment, behavior, reading, mathematics, and community counseling.

The Opportunity:

The Unlimited Potential Community School (UPCS) Program Manager plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the planning, development, and delivery of the UPCS programs and support services. Centered on enhancing academics, health, social services, youth, and community engagement, the Program Manager works closely with the Program Director to drive the achievement of UPCS objectives. This role involves aiding the Program Director in addressing key areas such as behavioral health, child welfare management, community schooling, and early childhood solutions that benefit children and families. Additionally, the Program Manager collaborates with the Program Director and other UPCS staff to efficiently plan, develop, and execute systems for broader statewide university initiatives. This position is also responsible for managing and supervising the operational aspects of projects.

This is a Contract and Grant (C&G) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the training and support of UPCS strategies and support services that facilitate the achievement of exceptional outcomes in improved student learning, stronger families, and healthier communities.

  • Provide coordination of the day-to-day business operations within UPCS project.

  • Support the Program Director in managing up-to-date monitoring of the project to ensure ongoing strategic goals and objectives are being addressed and action steps are being implemented.

  • Develop and monitor systems for Project team on how to plan, develop and implement community school projects throughout Florida and beyond in the areas of technical assistance and assessment and evaluation.

  • Assist in the management of the day-to-day operations of the project.

  • Support the Program Director with the administration, planning, and coordination of the project and its role in the development of community schools.

  • Supervise a team of project staff. * Assist in the development and implementation of communication plans to ensure internal and external coordination and project cohesion.

  • Assist in developing and producing strategic planning frameworks for center planning purposes.

  • Coordinate project tasks and provide technical assistance for program development and implementation of programs, services and collaborative partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree

  • 3-5 years experience in organizational operations.

  • Experience with community partnership schools.

  • Experience with complex teams.

  • Experience with externally funded projects.

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both verbally and in writing.
