LMI seeks a skilled Senior Systems Architect to support a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) PMO in the National Capital Region. Responsibilities

Assist the Office of Acquisition (OA) in establishing and maintaining program alignment within Department of Homeland Security (DHS) / CBP, mapping business architecture and technology standards, including defining framework and/or structure of components and principles and guidelines.

Tasks in this area include, but are not limited to:

    Development of Performance Reference Model (PRM), Business Process Model (BPM), as-is and to-be BPM, and performance measures for all programs.
  • Development of Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) Tailoring Plans.
  • Preparation for Enterprise Architecture Board Reviews.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of a MS/MA degree and 10 or more years of related experience OR minimum of a BS/BA degree and 18 or more years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large scale DoD projects.
  • Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches, methods, and tools.
  • Knowledge of systems modeling language such as SysML, UML, UPDM, UAF, and others.
  • Knowledge of business process modeling languages such as BPMN.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience across all phases of the DHS SELC.
  • Excellent consulting, written, and verbal communication skills to support and manage customers and clients.
  • Must be self-directed, detail oriented, and able to coordinate and work with a dynamic team and multiple stakeholders.
  • Able to communicate effectively and confidently with end users, technologists, team members, and executive management.
  • Process driven analysis skills and a background in various requirements elicitation methods.
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.

Desired:

  • Experience with complex system specification, structural modeling, behavior modeling, functional allocation to system structure, requirements derivation and analysis, verification and validation, and all other phases of the systems engineering life cycle.
  • Certified Enterprise Architect.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
