Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for providing professional support to the Director of Information Support Services.
  • Responsible for performing complex transcription and document structure for all documents and reports that are included in the medical records.
  • Provides coverage for Admissions Office and Switchboard Operator as needed. Performs other duties assigned.
  • Responsible for providing professional support to the Director of Information Support Services and to the Admission Office Coordinator. Reviews, compiles, and prepares operational records and reports for Medical Records and Admissions Office.
  • Responsible for performing transcription, reviewing and developing procedural adjustments on reports including discharge summaries, diagnostic staff notes, admission histories, progress notes, outgoing letters, psychiatric evaluations and treatment plans.
  • Responsible for reading, interpreting, and assigning diagnostic codes to physician diction utilizing the most current version of the International Statistical Classification of Disease coding.
  • Interviews patients upon arrival to facility. Created ad completes all data entry associated with the medical record for patients. Assist physician with the admission process. Interacts with staff from other facilities and with legal authorities.
  • Provides relief for the switchboard ad needed including monitoring the file panel for alarms, answering, and directing phone calls for the entire campus, calling emergency codes and maintaining patient information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualification:
  • Must be High School Graduate.
  • One year of professional, administrative, or business experience.
  • Clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year for year basis.
