We're looking for a full-time, staff Mechanical Engineer II to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Stanton, TN.
As the Mechanical Engineer II, here's the work you'll do:
  • Reviewing Requests for Information (RFIs) and piping specifications.
  • Basic mechanical design and analysis of assigned deliverables. Maintain and promote a focus on end product whether engineering, fabrication or construction. Support Engineering Manager with reviewing RFI and specs.
  • Monitors and ensures design work and documents are correct, consistent with applicable codes, logically presented
  • Assist Engineering Manager on site with other tasks as needed
  • Provides coordination of design efforts with other disciplines, subcontractors, construction and client personnel
  • Provides technical guidance, technical management, and technical reviews for subcontractors.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
* Experience in design practices for mechanical process equipment
* Experience in design practices for industrial piping
* Ability to work in AutoCad and Bluebeam. Expereince with Revit a plus.
* Strong organizational skills and effective verbal/written communication skills for execution of design and construction projects. Ability to work in a cross funtional team and drive results.
* Ability to self-start and work with little supervision.
And if you have these qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Degree must be ABET accredited
  • 2+ years of process equipment and piping experience
  • Professional Engineer or Fundamentals of Engineering registration preferred. If a registered PE, ability to obtain PE registration in other states via exam or comity.
  • U.S. Citizen required.


In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $104,500 - $114,950 This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
