The Position

Job Description

SUMMARY

The Mortgage Loan Servicing Escrow Specialist is responsible for performing escrow administration duties related to servicing the mortgage loans. The successful candidate serves as a subject matter expert and is tasked with the independent research and resolution of complex business issues related to escrow. Additional responsibility includes ensuring all Policies and Procedures are compliant with all federal, state, local laws and company guidelines. Must pass application process, background and credit check.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Manage the escrow analysis process.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of scheduled escrow account analysis in accordance with bank, state and federal regulation and investor requirements.
  • Monitor and complete research of customer service and other requests to resolve issues.
  • Manage vendor relationship with the escrow vendors to ensure accurate reporting and processing in accordance with bank procedures and state and federal regulations.
  • Assist with special projects and perform other servicing related assigned duties.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES

  • Perform other duties as requested by management team.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintains cleanliness in and around workstation.
  • Recommends to supervisor possible methods to improve department.
  • Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
  • Cross train with all other escrow related functions.
  • Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.
  • Dresses professionally in accordance with company dress code.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • High School or Equivalent (GED), Required
  • Mortgage Escrow, 5+ Years
  • Proficient in managing the escrow analysis process
  • Financial services/operations environment, 5+ Years
  • Clear background and Credit

  • Basic mathematical skills.

Physical Working Conditions

This is somewhat sedentary work that requires the following physical activities:

  • Sitting or standing for long periods, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking hearing, and visual acuity including close vision.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 10 pounds of computer equipment or paper).
  • May be required occasionally to stoop or kneel.

Working Conditions
