Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, the Manager of Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology (CVIR) has clinical and administrative oversight of the operational, clinical, non-clinical and strategic goals within the CVIR department. Responsibilities include daily oversight of all departmental activities including staffing and scheduling, patient experience, resource management, financial analysis, productivity management, expense management, and other special projects.

The Manager assists in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care within a patient centered environment as evidenced by patient satisfaction scores, Physician and staff satisfaction, performance improvement outcomes, and other monthly indicators of operations. Through strategic collaboration with the Director of Perioperative Services, Physicians and Senior Leadership, the Manager of CVIR implements and maintains the clinical quality, patient safety and financial goals and objectives which assure the highest service delivery.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • BSN Required/MS in nursing or Health Care Administration preferred.
  • BLS certification upon hire and ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire; must maintain certifications.
  • Minimum of two (2) years cardiovascular nursing leadership experience required.
  • Current cardiovascular interventional nursing experience required.
  • Thorough understanding of cardiovascular procedures and procedural recovery processes required.
  • Demonstrated skills with telemetry monitoring required.
  • Must possess superior oral, written and interpersonal skills to interact with Physicians, staff and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Ability to develop strong teams by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and mentoring team members.
  • Understanding of financial data and its impact on patient care in the clinical setting and the ability to organize and execute multiple projects and tasks in a timely manner required.
  • Fiscal competency and ability to develop annual budgets and manage staff and other operating resources efficiently and effectively in collaboration with Director of Perioperative Services.
