Description
SUMMARY: Unload trucks, inspects incoming material, stock material, and load conveyor in accordance with company specification. Track incoming inventory using a computer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Repetitively unload trucks in accordance with established company standards.
  2. Operate fork truck in accordance with standards and expectation presented in training. Enter all bale movements in current computer/trucking system. Publish inventory numbers.
  3. Inspect all bales that are unloaded off the trailers and when loading the conveyor. Use good mix of bales when loading conveyor.
  4. Help meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals. Cut beater stock with roll splitter or saw.
  5. Clean and maintain loading area, keep work area clean throughout the shift.
  6. Conduct a maintenance and safety check for fork truck at beginning and end of each assigned shift. Adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures.
  7. Assist and/or perform other work as assigned.

  • N/A
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Eligible to work in the US.
  • Good computer skills, ability to track inventory in a computer.
  • Able to communicate with all team members and adhere to safety and adhere to safety regulations. Must be team player, organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi task in an environment with frequent changing priorities.
  • Ability to operate a fork truck, clamp truck and/or bobcat.
  • Able to meet company quality and performance standards for job as specified.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Able to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, stopping, and pulling).
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Able to work in hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment.
  • Willingness and ability to work in confined spaces and with heights.
  • Able to work in a tobacco free environment.
  • Willingness and ability to wear safety glasses, earplugs, hard hat, steel toes boots and any other required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
