As the Product Development Chemist, you will work in the laboratory as a member of automotive refinish product development team in CIC (Allison Park, PA). Reporting directly to the Senior Development Leader you will lead independent projects or portions of larger project to develop and commercialize adhesive and sealant product for Refinish application. You will use resource and provide technical solutions to challenging problems.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the experimental work to meet project goals and timeline
Communicate and share knowledge within the team and with collaborators
Interact with global development labs, research team, marketing team, production team and customers to guide projects forward
Use Sigma logic methodology for design of experiment and data analysis
Provide support to customer and production related issues
Learn and improve continuously as an individual and as part of the team
Maintain a detailed laboratory notebook
Maintain a safe, clean work area
Qualifications
Degrees in Chemistry, Polymer, Engineering or related field
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of formulation experience
Knowledge of common coating formula techniques and testing procedures
Formulation experience in automotive coating, adhesive and sealants is desirable.
