Job Description
100% remote



Would prefer candidates on Pacific Time Zone - working at least until 5PM. Other than that flexible.
Candidate qualities that will work best with the hiring manager's team:1) Well-spoken; 2) able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • What type of education background are you ideally looking for a candidate to have? 1) Must be LCB (Licensed Customs broker) or ready to take the test. 2) Prior Pharm or R&D experience.
  • What are top 3 things you are looking for on a resume that will get your attention to want to schedule an interview with a candidate? 1) Must be LCB (Licensed Customs broker) or ready to take the test. 2) Prior Pharm or R&D experience. 3) Continuous employment (or justification for gaps). 4) Previous experience with SAP/GTS
  • What are 2-3 red flags on resumes for you? 1) Warehouse operator, 2) transportation booking experience (i.e. prepared shipping documentation), 3) short-term employment - it takes 3-4 months for us to make new staff productive

Specialist Import/Export
Centralized under Global Supply Chain, this team is accountable for seamless integration of policy and execution activities for imports and exports in support of the entire organization to ensure our medicines are timely delivered at the right place. Members of the Global Trade Office provide program oversight for trade compliance, establish controls and global standards for regional execution and are experts in international trade regulations for the bio-pharmaceutical industry.

o Transaction management
* Broker management
* Import for export
* Documentation records
* Country of origin
* Classifications
* Update SAP documents supporting GTS roles and responsibilities.
o Partner internally and externally

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Customs & Trade, Logistics and/ or Supply Chain AND 3 years' experience in Trade Compliance or Import/Export operations OR Associate's degree & 8 years' experience in Trade Compliance or Import/Export operations OR High school diploma / GED & 10 years' experience in Trade Compliance or Import/Export operations


Preferred qualifications:
o U.S. Licensed Customs Broker
o Experience releasing SAP GTS processes: Blocks, IDIS, EDIS
o Understanding of International Customs and World Trade Organization Regulations
o Understanding of import/export processes in non-US countries
o Versed in key import/export processes including valuation, commodity classification, country of origin determination
o Ability to build working relationships and effectively partner cross-functionally, cross-regionally and at all levels in the organization
o Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation, collaboration and executive presentation skills
