Position Purpose: | Responsible for cleaning the inside of buildings and other facilities and performing minor maintenance in a manner that is safe and supports learning at the college. |

Supervision Statement: | Reports to and works under the general supervision of a custodial manager. Assistant Custodial Manager schedules, assigns, inspects and approves work and is available to answer questions or troubleshoot problems on a daily basis. After an initial orientation period, the employee is assigned to one or more buildings on a shift. Work requires employee to be self-directed and to work efficiently in order to accomplish scheduled tasks during the shift. A procedures manual is available for reference on the night shift. Work is reviewed periodically to monitor its quality and timely completion. Supervision of others is not a normal responsibility of this position; however, this position may have occasional responsibility for training and instructing student assistants. |
