Your Opportunity: Taylor Print & Service Solutions Group Operations Accounting is looking for a Cost Accountant to join our team. This person will work closely with accounting team members, operations managers, and other corporate departments. This position will be involved in the monthly close process including journal entry and account reconciliation preparation, variance analysis, and financial reporting. Growth opportunity within other Accounting teams and other segments of the Taylor Print & Services Solution Group Operations teams.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Monthly closing activities, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliation

  • Participate in migrating legacy systems to new Oracle ERP

  • Review and analyze financial statement variances

  • Assist in preparation and analysis of monthly reporting package

  • Participate in financial planning and annual budget process

  • Participate in Peer Reviews for general ledger entries and account reconciliations

  • Prepare audit work papers and respond to questions/requests from auditors

  • Provide assistance to other functional areas during monthly close

  • Participate in self-development in order to maintain and enhance knowledge and skills required for the position

  • Assist with additional projects as assigned

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 3+ yearsrelevant cost accounting experience; public accounting or corporate accounting

  • Working knowledge of US GAAP

  • Ability to work independently

  • Experience working on a team, meeting deadlines, and having an interest in identifying and resolving problems

  • Experience with automated accounting systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, etc.)

  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel)

  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and strong analytical skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills; ability to establish credibility, make decisions and forge relationships

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Advanced degree

  • CPA or CMA
