Operate machine(s) as defined in the Machine Operator Manual and following all safety procedures. Perform simple changeover and set up. Load supplies and make adjustments to semi-automated machine(s). Machine operator is responsible for ensuring the machine works properly, utilizing the correct materials for the product and keeping the equipment running. The Operator must demonstrate a detailed understanding of the quality requirements for the products being produced and able to make adjustments as necessary to achieve maximum quality. In addition is responsible for troubleshooting equipment effectively and appropriately seeking assistance of a trained mechanic. When necessary clearly communicating equipment problems to the mechanic and asking questions if necessary. Reports any problem with the equipment or supplies to their supervisor or team leader. These positions have a direct effect on the quality of our products. This role may be used as a training prerequisite for a higher-level Machine Operator position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have at least 6 months of Amy's experience or demonstrated previous machine operator experience.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for extended periods, perform manual dexterity activities and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Employee may be required to move material in and out of freezers. May work near equipment that generates heat.
