POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Assembler II, assembles electronics components and/or circuit boards that meet established quality standards. Employees in this job class perform detailed and close-up assembly work, inspect packages, and label various types of assemblies. This job class requires knowledge of IPC electronic standards, ability to interpret assembly instructions and the ability to work with precision, accuracy and attention to detail.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. *Assembles electronics components and/or circuit boards following a standardized set of procedures.
2. *Programs, tests, and troubleshoots assemblies.
3. *Ability to solder meeting IPC specifications
4. *Assists other departments in programming, testing, packaging and labeling.
5. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Three years of work experience, preferably in circuit board inspection and assembly;
* Ability to work with sufficient speed, accuracy, and attention to detail to perform job functions as required;
* Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests;
* Effective written communication skills using appropriate business English;
* Computer literacy to use business software, the Internet, enter data/retrieve data;
* Human relations skills to build effective working relationships;
* Demonstrated customer service, problem solving and common sense skills.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
* Utilizing keyboard
* Viewing computer monitor and detailed work requiring close vision
* Assembling small parts requiring manual dexterity
* Lifting and moving boxes or equipment up to 25 pounds
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with forklifts and production equipment. Employees may be exposed to noise from equipment in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to elevated temperatures, high heat, occasional fumes, toxic chemicals, and airborne particles.
