Job Summary and Responsibilities:

Asset & Wealth Management Operations delivers asset management and wealth management capabilities to clients around the world. We are a multi-faceted group that partners with all areas of the Asset & Wealth Management Division to support evolving markets and business requirements. Alongside that vital service delivery role, Investment Management Operations provides essential risk management and control.

Private Wealth Management Operations (PWM Ops) has an opportunity for an Analyst/Associate to work on the PWM Ops Portfolio & Tax team full time in Salt Lake City. The PWM Ops Portfolio & Tax team is the key point of contact for US tax reporting (1099s), cost basis, and realized gains and loss reporting for our advisors and clients. The team is also responsible for IRA accounts and their associated tax reports (1099Rs, 5498s). The team is expanding their tax reporting capabilities to cover several international tax reporting jurisidcations.

Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor and perform data validation to ensure accurate realized gain/loss reporting
  • Review corporate action events to capture appropriate cost basis updates
  • Issue client tax reports across multiple juridictions prior to regulatory deadlines
  • Find creative solutions to problems while providing excellent client service
  • Provide training to PWM Advisor teams regarding tax reporting updates
  • Partner with the Business and Engineering to improve operational processes and workflows
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Understanding of the securities industry; experience with Wealth Management brokerage functions preferred
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word, as well as proficiency with web-based applications
  • Strong commitment to quality controls and procedures
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, improve processes, and able to work independently as a self-starter
