Who you are: You value collaboration and have a curious mind. You want to own your work and will approach it with dedication. You take pride in working for a company that aligns with your values of environmental stewardship through smarter forest practices.

You are motivated and enjoy learning; taking on new projects is exciting to you.

What the job is: As the Senior Forest Carbon Analyst, you will work on the nuts and bolts of monitoring existing forest carbon projects, developing new projects, and helping to evaluate potential projects. This role is both an internal and external facing position which will require frequent interaction with other employees and management, contract service providers, and other outside parties. This role is expected to establish and cultivate an external network of forest carbon contacts.

Here are some examples of the daily work associated with the job:

  • Develop detailed project plans which consider resource availability and utilize systems to monitor and track progress with stakeholders and senior management.
  • Perform monitoring, analysis, and reporting functions of ongoing projects to inform and support management decisions and to assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Communicate project updates to senior management and interface with external stakeholders.
  • Participate in integration planning and execution, as required.
  • Monitor less experienced team members with respect to forest carbon projects.
  • Conduct financial, operational, and environmental analyses of potential forest carbon offset projects and related investments and prepare materials for senior management and outside investors.
  • Manage teams of internal resources and third parties/vendors to execute investment strategies.

Compensation: Annual Salary Range: $97,800 - $146,600 per year. The pay range listed is just one component of Green Diamond's total compensation package.
