Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Software Engineering, Project Management or related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in some combination of the following skill areas:
    • Source Control (Git, Bitbucket, SVN, etc.).
    • Continuous Integration (Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.).
    • Infrastructure Automation (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.).
    • Development Automation & Orchestration (Jenkins, VSTS, Octopus Deploy, etc.).
    • Container Concepts (LXD, Docker, etc.).
    • Orchestration (Kubernetes, Mesos, Swarm, etc.).
    • Cloud (AWS, Azure, Openstack, etc.).
    • Health/SIEM (ELK, Solarwinds, LogRythmn, Splunk, etc.).
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain a suitability determination.
  • United States citizenship required.
  • Must live in the US 3 of the last 5 years (military and study abroad included.
  • Strong development coding or scripting automation experience.
  • Strong acumen for systems and technology.
  • Experience with network protocols and security standards.
  • Working knowledge of database fundamentals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile/Scrum/DevOps development process.
  • Strong data management skills.
  • Strong focus on business outcomes and project completion.
  • Ability to provide quality product delivery and customer service in all situations.

  • Requires on-call pager support after standard business hours 24 x 7 on a rotating basis.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel, ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch, and reach with hands and arms to install and maintain computer-networking equipment.
  • Close vision at 20 inches or less, ability to identify and distinguish colors to install and maintain computer-networking equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to install and maintain computer-networking equipment.

Responsibilities

Summary

Responsible for process improvement and continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) of software. Interact with various team members to improve technical implementations, tool sets, and application stability and performance. Additional responsibility for incorporating a smooth transition between developers, quality assurance, network security, database and system administrators.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates, and executes the installation of patches, new releases and upgrades of corporate and customer-facing hardware/software.
  • Designs, builds, installs, upgrades, secures, tunes and maintains corporate infrastructure.
  • Engages with team members to create application delivery efficiencies.
  • Integrates workflow procedures supporting the rapid development, deployment and integration of new software.
  • Serves as Software Code Release manager for the IT team.
  • Works with development and operations on release automation.
  • Orchestrates continuous integration through innovation.
  • Supports the proactive approach to monitor the health and utilization of corporate systems.
  • Writes script code changes as needed to help the monitoring process.
  • Serves as subject matter expert to assist with incident management resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Supports security initiatives and best practices that follows NIST for SOX and FedRAMP compliance.
  • Monitors trends and developments in DevOps and systems technologies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
