As the Radiographer Trainee 1 here's the work you'll do:

**Please note- this role is 3rd shift: 5:30pm-3:30am**

Position Summary:

Performs digital radiography of pressed/poured/extruded explosives and associated metal, plastics, or other materials such as steel bodies, sub-assemblies for proper assembly, flaws, cracks, or presence of foreign materials.

As the Radiographer Trainee, here's the work you'll do:

  • Performs digital radiography of pressed/poured/extruded explosives and associated metal, plastics, or other materials such as steel bodies, sub-assemblies for proper assembly, flaws, cracks, or presence of foreign materials.
  • Actively participate in training program to interpret images, learn radiation safety, and operation of equipment.
  • Practice interpretation of production radiographs in accordance with procedure/contract requirements for experience, not acceptance.
  • Operate regulated ionizing radiation producing machines and the associated radiation detection instruments under direct supervision in order to verify all are certified for accuracy and a current calibration certificate is on file.
  • May be asked to instruct operations personnel assigned to X-ray in proper procedures and operation of the radiographic systems.
  • Maintain logbook tracking training hours.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
  • Skills and knowledge to process parts, document results and perform equipment standardization in accordance with approved work instructions.
  • Ability to carry out necessary preparation of parts before or after inspection in accordance with approved work instructions. Conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standard.
  • Ability to follow work instructions. Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and SAP.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
And if you have these qualifications:
  • Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Length of Experience: X-ray or Non Destructive Testing experience preferred
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain level I Radiography certification
  • Licenses/Registrations: Ability to obtain Industrial Radiographer License
  • Great attitude and team player.
  • Successful completion of background screening process.


In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary for this role is $53,039.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
