An LA digital media startup is looking for an Assistant Controller to join their team. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for owning month-end close, overseeing accounting operations, and financial reporting. What do you need for this Assistant Controller role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 10+ years of accounting experience
- MUST come from advertising or media-related industry
- CPA a plus
- Public accounting experience a bigger plus
- Advanced Excel
- Manage and maintain the general ledger
- Take full ownership of month-end close
- Oversee the annual audit
- Manage financial and tax reporting and work and maintain relationship with external consultants and agencies as needed
- Identify, create, and implement accounting practices, initiatives, and internal controls
- Oversee and develop staff
- Support financial and management reporting
- Backed by celebrities and well-known investors

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
