Requisition ID req29256 Working Title Customer Service - Department Purchasing Position Grade 09 Position Summary The Department of OB-GYN seeks an individual with exceptional customer service skills to join our team. In the Customer Service-Department Purchasing role, you'll bring your passion for delivering outstanding service, your problem-solving abilities and your friendly demeaner to create a positive and efficient experience for our faculty, staff and learners.

In this position, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Department's financial activities. Your responsibilities will include processing transactions like food orders, Amazon purchases and travel while maintaining records in our Departmental systems and UNM's Chrome River. You'll be the go-to person for all purchases made with a Department credit card. You'll serve as the point person for processing reimbursement requests and you'll process and distribute monthly reports.

The ideal candidate will have strong and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to independently analyze, research and resolve issues are a must. This includes the ability to think critically, adapt to changing circumstances and collaborate with colleagues to address complex problems efficiently. The work hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. This position may be eligible for a hybrid remote work schedule after successful completion of the probation period.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
