The Business Systems Analyst's role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of business processes. This includes researching and analyzing data in support of business functions, process knowledge, and systems requirements. The Business Systems Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. Applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to advance the functionally and reliability of systems.

What you will be doing:

  • Gathers and evaluates information for developing and modifying operations requirements and system goals, and resolving identified system issues.

  • Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develops strategies for enhancing business processes, operations, and data process flow, and for improving or further leveraging these systems.

  • Prepares and delivers reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization.

  • Coordinates and performs in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modifications of new systems and other post-implementation

  • Identifies and establishes scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.

  • Creates and documents systems functions, specifications, diagrams, and data flow.

  • Communicates process changes, enhancements, and modifications through written documentation.

  • Develops and enforces methods and validation mechanisms for ensuring data quality and accuracy.

  • Collaborates in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.

  • Identifies causes of poor data quality, and develops and implements solutions.

  • Creates system design proposals.

  • Obtains data, prepares and delivers reports.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree (4 year program) or equivalent education will be considered in lieu of experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of Business Systems experience, preferably from a financial institution.

  • Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Strong knowledge of business process and systems requirements. Recognizes required linkages between process and systems, and proactively communicates with internal and external clients to create alignment.

  • Experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.

  • Proven knowledge in assigned areas of operation and analysis of databases, hardware, software, standards, project management, data retrieval methodologies, and mainframe applications.

  • Ability to adapt to changes in technology.

  • Ability to interact with users and office staff of all levels to assist with difficult technical tasks.

  • Strong understanding of business process and practices.

  • Practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Possess excellent human relations, communications and business writing skills.

  • Possess effective time management and organizational skills.

  • Able to cope with pressure resulting from meeting required deadlines and reporting requirements.

  • Demonstrate teamwork in facilitating workflow. High level of cooperation with others and responsive to the Bank's needs.

  • Exemplary motivation, enthusiasm, and professionalism.

  • High level of accuracy and great attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Consistently demonstrate tact, discretion and good judgment.

  • ACAMS CAM certification preferred

  • SQL Knowledge preferred

Salary Range: $70,000-90,000 annually

Final compensation package will be determined by the work experience, education, and/or skill level of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
