HEICO is currently recruiting a Warehouse Clerk for its Seal Dynamics Business Unit, located in Tampa, FL.

Job Description:

The Warehouse Associate reports directly to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and will support the various warehouse duties at Seal Dynamics. These duties include the support of the actions related to receiving, storage, inventory control, transaction management, picking, packing, and shipping customer and transfer orders with an emphasis on safety, effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy and cost control.


Core Responsibilities:

  1. Promotes, complies, actively participates and enforces the importance of the Quality Management System.
  2. Receiving:
  • Ensures the count and condition of the product and packaging are completed correctly.
  • Perform all Syteline functions as it relates to the receiving process of purchase and transfer orders.
  • Ensures paperwork meets purchase order requirements and the received articles and job packets are distributed to the appropriate parties.
  1. Picking and Packing:
  • Picks and packs Customer and Transfer Orders, staging them for shipping.
  • Ensure the count and condition of the product and packaging are completed correctly.
  • Performs all Syteline functions as it relates to the picking and packing processes of customer and transfer orders.
  1. Inventory Control:
  • Confirm counts and item detail information is accurate and complete.
  • Performs all Syteline functions as it relates to relocating or moving inventory into finished goods stock locations, from one location to another. This includes:
    • Applying barcoded inventory cards to all of the boxes in which the articles are stored
    • Closing each box, if applicable, with security tape
  1. Performs various clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, filing, sorting, and distributing department paperwork.
  2. Ensures and supports that the proper procedures being followed for production effectiveness, efficiency, quality of product, employee safety, while maintaining the standards and guidelines of Seal Dynamics, HEICO, and the FAA.
  3. Safely operates all the necessary equipment in the warehouse area.

Additional Support Responsibilities:

  • Supports the manufacturing of items, including packaging and labeling.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
  • Supports other departmental needs as required

Job Performance Standards:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many stockroom items are cumbersome and heavy.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced sales environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of physical exertion for extended periods and working primarily while standing.
  • Experience with software such as Microsoft Excel and other company spreadsheet programs.
  • Typing and record keeping skills essential to maintaining accurate information for managers and supervisors regarding stockroom inventory.
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance.
  • Personal accountability and integrity are essential, as a stock clerk has access to valuable inventory.
  • Experience working safely with stockroom ladders and tools is preferred.
  • Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized stockroom.
