About this opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to Head Ericsson Silicon Development. You will be responsible from end-2-end development, from concepts to production, of Ericsson's SoC (Systems on Chip) solution for our Networks portfolio. Our Ericsson Silicon is one of the key reasons why we are today regarded as technology leaders in Radio Access Networks. Our strategy remains, we aim to lead in this area also is in the future.

In this role you will lead a large team of talented engineers in a multi-site setup. Our main development sites are in Sweden and United States.

You will be part of the Hardware Engineering Unit and its leadership team. You will work closely with leaders in Ericsson including product management, product development, sourcing and supply in making our state-of-the-art products come to life.


What you will do:

  • Deliver a market leading Ericsson Silicon (Baseband + Radio ASICs) portfolio
  • E2E is responsible for the silicon development lifecycle from concepts to production, including digital ASICs, mixed signal ICs and FPGAs.
  • Vision and strategy for Silicon area (long term roadmaps, realization of product strategies, technology choices etc)
  • Ensure an efficient CAD and development flow
  • Lead a large, multi-site development team
  • Attract and grow top talent
  • Lead collaboration with key partners, suppliers and ecosystem
  • Drive continuous improvements in Silicon development processes and mechanisms to streamline time to market
  • Stay on-top of industry trends and emerging technologies in silicon development


The skills you bring:

  • Deep technical understanding of end-2-end silicon development and manufacturing.
  • Strong connection to worldwide silicon industry and cross ASIC discipline exposure.
  • Passion for R&D including driving R&D efficiency
  • Experience in developing evolving technologies
  • Technical knowledge and background in the Telco industry is a plus
  • Proven track record in driving and shaping organizational transformation & change, including team member motivation and communication
  • Ability to facilitate architectural and system level discussions and drive towards conclusion and subsequent implementation
  • Ability to stand steady and work through issues towards key stakeholders
  • 10+ years' experience in senior leadership roles including leading a multi-site organization and multicultural teams
