About the Role The Paralegal in the Legal Team will work closely with the Legal Team to provide essential support in various legal matters pertaining to company operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals seeking to launch a career in the legal field within a dynamic and fast-paced corporate environment. This is a full time, permanent role, Monday to Friday, preferably located in the Kansas City metro area, although the majority of their work can be done remotely.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative and paralegal support to the Legal Team
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed, including corporate transactions, litigation support, and other legal matters
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams as required
  • Organize and maintain legal repository, including material agreements, records, correspondence, filings, etc.
  • Maintain contract templates and other legal documents
  • Assist with preparation of various filings, including corporate and regulatory filings
  • Assist in the preparation, review and approval of legal documents such as agreements, correspondence, contract templates, presentations, and other legal materials ensuring accuracy and engaging the Sr. Paralegal & Contracts Manager (or other team members) as necessary
  • Coordinate execution of contracts and other documents
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Manage certificate of insurance requests
  • Assist with completion of vendor setup questionnaires and other engagement documents and POs as necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements
  • Paralegal degree or related work experience may be considered.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with teammates and other internal teams.
  • Ability to take ownership of assignments and adhere to deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, including ability to effectively multi-task, juggle and prioritize several projects at one time.
  • Ability to solve problems and use business good judgment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exemplary integrity.
