The Johns Hopkins University Department of Genetic Medicine is seeking a Research Technologist whowill join a team developing precision medicine therapies for cystic fibrosis. The Research Technologist will participate in developing and testing gene therapy methods including gene editing studies using CRISPR/Cas9. Under the supervision of a faculty investigator, the Research Technologist will be responsible for independently performing routine analyses and tests on animal or human fluids and/or tissue or cultured cell lines. Work requires basic and advanced use of scientific methods, procedures and techniques gained through previous training and experience. Uses understanding of theory behind experiments and applies analytical skills to implement assigned projects, and to identify and trouble-shoot situations needing special attention.
