Description: Person in this position will be responsible for providing behavioral-health services to at-risk adolescents in Guam.
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinating interventions with adolescents, acting as an intervention specialist;
- Provide clinical assessments and interventions for adolescents and families;
- Provide individual, group and family therapy, based on need (divorce, grief, etc.) maintaining a full case load, based on behavioral health standards and ethics;
- Provide follow-up and implementation of reintegration plans for adolescents who are returning to school from hospitalization and or facility stays, and comprehensive follow-up to all clients served;
- Participate in meetings as necessary (Staffing, Trainings, IEPs, Community Forums, Etc.);
- Enhance awareness to behavioral health needs, services; and to promote community understand of behavioral health and to enhance community response to behavioral health concerns;
- Maintain date on person served;
- Be familiar with disciplinary guidelines and at-risk adolescents characteristics/needs, and with collaborating agency referral guidelines;
- Be familiar with special education regulatory requirements and provide assistance with this process and appropriate;
- Possess behavioral modification training and knowledge or crisis intervention techniques;
- Foster effective communication with adolescents, parent(s) and other staff members;
- Posses effective organizational and time management skills;
- Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation; and
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Most possess or be eligible and working toward Guam License as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW; and
- Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work.
