Our Florence location has an opening for a Plate Maker Lead position. Successful candidates will need to have the following:

  • Trade school certificate in Graphic Arts/Printing or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience operating CDI, Kongsberg, and processing equipment required

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Trade school certificate in Graphic Arts/Printing or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience operating CDI, Kongsberg, and processing equipment required

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to read and understand measurements on a tape measure.
  • Ability to understand and produce printing plates correctly and in accordance with customer needs and timing.
  • Ability to multitask between production jobs to increase productivity.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Full comprehension in reading work instructions and business memos.
  • Maintain exemplary attendance and punctuality.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead a team.
  • Ability to follow direction and work individually or as part of a team.
  • Self-driven and able to work with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to conceptualize and problem solve.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Comply with all company standards, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting up to 65 lbs.
  • Positioning material with the assistance of carts and overhead cranes
  • Standing/walking for whole/majority of shift
  • Vision abilities include close vision in the inspection of the work
  • Effectively communicate
  • Infrequent pushing/pulling of carts
Qualifications

Education
Technical/other training (required)
High School (required)

Experience
Full comprehension in reading work instructions and business memos (required)
Basic computer literacy (required)
Ability to read and understand measurements on a tape measure (required)
