Job Description

The Computer Science Department within the School of Computer Science is seeking a Research Assistant to join the team. This Research Assistant will work with research projects pertaining to edge computing for drone autonomy. Specific work assignments and research depends on assignment of Project PI.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Works with project PI to collect, record and assess research data. May write and test code according to project specifications. Assesses data and analyzes results.
  • Follows research plans in order to collect, record, and manipulate research data. Maintains accurate and detailed research records and files.
  • May test software prototypes. May interact with research subjects in order to perform job functions.
  • Performs basic data analysis in order to product reports. Documents results and processes.
  • Performs library research and field explorations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience with research protocols required.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
