Salary Range: $40,000- $42,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours: up to 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions
Job Summary
Independently plan and coordinate support operations for a large volume of events for the Student Union. Responsible for scheduling and supervising events and coordinating technical, physical, and other required support.
Core Responsibilities
Initiates, plans, schedules, and manages on and off-site university events to include coordination/procuring of location, facilities, technical services, supplies, marketing, publicity, and personnel.
Coordinates work orders and maintenance to event rooms or equipment.
Coordinates financial transactions, including budget tracking, invoicing, billing records, and payroll. Monitors accounts for events.
Ensures sufficient support personnel are hired, trained, and available.
Acts as a liaison with internal and external customers and agencies to coordinate and facilitate co-sponsored events.
Communicates information regarding facility use, program operations, and campus policies, regulations, and procedures to customers and the University community.
Creates, develops, and produces marketing materials for events such as posters, flyers, programs, and other advertisements. Approves advertisements submitted by internal or external customers for advertisement in university-approved posting areas.
Supervises ticket production and sales.
Prepares reports and statistical information.
Coordinates and/or participates in special meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university.
Four (4) years of experience in events management.
General knowledge of sound and lighting systems and other applicable equipment.
Personal computers, events management software, and standard office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree specific in Marketing, Management, or Communications.
Experience in data management.

Office environment.

Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.
Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.
Physical Demands:
Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
