In this role, you will provide support to the department director regarding all aspects of corporate insurance programs and risk strategies. You will monitor and report any operational and strategic risks to protect the organizational objectives.

Job Responsibilities

    Compiles and maintains various databases and schedules to facilitate monthly reports/statistics for internal and external customers. Make recommendations based on the data.
  • Collaborate with all personnel within the Risk Management Department on a variety of insured and self-insured risks.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Manager to ensure all projects are adequately protected by property, casualty, and builder's risk insurance. Help the Risk Manager obtain applications and quotes to support said projects.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Manager in the placement for all bonds - e.g. payment and performance, warranty, lien as applicable. Reconciles and processes all invoices. Manages bond values incremental to align with the contract values.
  • Assist in the management of claims with Haskell's insurance agent, insurance carriers, legal department, and safety department for all commercial casualty lines (GL, WC, Auto,
  • Evaluate documentation to support internal and external investigation of claims.
  • Collaborate with all levels of management to facilitate timely resolutions of all Risk Management issues.
  • Help establish medical care facilities and telemedicine for optimal benefit to the work schedule and minimize claim expenses for projects.
  • Cultivate a great customer service culture.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • College Degree or equivalent is required
  • Minimum 2-3 years Risk Management related experience
  • CRIS designation preferred.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications Etc.

  • Ability to make decisions based on risk profile and organizational objectives.
  • Ability to use personal experience to make judgment decision to support the risk management division in daily activities.
  • Perform a variety of basic clerical duties, which may change often.
  • Establish goals of "excellency" in work product and ability to constantly strive toward that goal.
  • Think logically, creativity and use good judgment.
  • Some travel may be required

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
