Job Description

Job Summary: The Dental Lab Assistant Lead works in the didactic student labs. Performs duties of routine stocking of supplies, proctoring exams and assisting student with use of various machines. Performs other duties as needed.

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred. Minimum two years of dental experience required.

Knowledge and Skills: Able to use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position; these include but are not limited to MS Work, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other software, as deemed necessary. Able to read; write legible; speak in English with professional quality; Operate/troubleshoot basic office and Lab equipment required for this position; Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize; work well under pressure; problem solve; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
