Overview

Job Purpose

The Staff Solutions Engineer shall have precise knowledge of the ICE Mortgage Technology products and platform from a technical, design and functional perspective, as well as a thorough understanding of the business benefits of each. The Staff Solutions Engineer works with and through all levels of the Sales, Client Management, Business Development, PSO, Product, Engineering, and Support organizations to effectively relate with customer operational, technical and development resources.

The Staff Solutions Engineer is responsible for gathering requirements and delivering best-practice solutions to complex business needs for ICE Mortgage Technology prospects, clients, and partners. This individual shall have a strong analytical mindset and the ability to identify issues related by the client, scope out additional opportunities to assist Sales, Client Management, Business Development and PSO in selling and cross selling Encompass and other ICE and ICE Mortgage Technology products and services appropriate for the prospect or client based on their needs and business model.

Responsibilities

  • Provide demonstration support across all ICE Mortgage Technology products including, but not limited to Encompass (desktop & web), Secondary Marketing Trades, Encompass Product and Pricing Service, TPO Connect, Consumer Connect, Data Connect, Insights, Data and Document Automation, Mortgage Analyzers, Velocify, Surefire, Pulse, Encompass Connector for Salesforce, AllRegs, eClose, Investor Connect, etc.
  • Assisting with the onboarding and continuing education of the Sales and Business Development Teams including, but not limited to:
    • Function as subject matter expert for demo instance updates
    • Assist with demo environment support
  • Assist the Sales team with consultative discovery for new product sales, cross sales, systems updates, channel expansion, and business structural changes
  • Product liaison for new releases, the value proposition and positioning and assist in authoring demo guide content
  • Have a solid understanding of mortgage terminology and workflow
  • Be able to analyze and compare departmental workflows and architect best practice demonstrations
  • Participate with sales representatives in the preparation of responses to RFI and RFP requests
  • Provide support for referring lenders to the Marketplace and Professional Services
  • Collect and document feedback from existing clients and prospects to ICE Mortgage Technology Product Management teams
  • Claim Solutions Engineering support tickets from the team queue within defined SLA's and prepare and deliver the demonstration for the client
  • Discover, position, and assist in cross selling other ICE and ICE Mortgage Technology products and solutions

Knowledge and Experience

  • 8+ years consulting and consultative selling enterprise software solutions
  • 8+ years mortgage banking experience including, but not limited to:
    • Multi-channel experience (desired)
    • Secondary Marketing, Product Pricing Buy & Sell and Trades experience (desired)
    • Experience managing mortgage production or operational teams (desired)
  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinker and problem solver
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as strong analytical skills
  • Business analysis (as in Product Management) experience a plus
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting web-based, client-server and mission critical software solutions for the mortgage industry
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suites: 2013, 2016, Office 365
  • Experience working with XML, SOAP, REST, JSON, .NET, C#, JavaScript, and scripting is desired
  • Understanding of cloud technology and deployment strategies using AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Strong technical documentation skills (required)
  • Strong working knowledge of the following Microsoft products: Outlook, Visio, Word, and Excel
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and SharePoint (desired)
  • Strong project management skills including research and development of alternative solutions
  • Ability to manage enterprise and multiple large and small clients at various phases of pre-sale and post-sale process

Preferred

  • Bachelor of Science or Business Management Degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent Certifications and Experience (degree strongly preferred)
  • 5+ years' experience with enterprise software configuration and administration. Encompass Administration and/or other enterprise loan origination system or related software experience desired.
